I have just know that Google has formally released its Calendar Service.You can see the screenshot from the Google Calendar help from the left.
Weeks before,I once surf on some Web 2.0 websites among which there are many Calendar Service websites.The earliest as far as I use is kiko which applies Ajax to the Calendar Service.
I know that many websites provide calendar service,such as the calendar service embeded in the mail service by yahoo and hotmail.
Why these websites provide Calendar Service?
- Personal self management.But one can manager his or her events on his PC or PDA or even using to-do list on notebook without using a online service.Is that necessary for one to manage his or her events online?
- Social communication.We know that human nation are social animals who can not live without the society or community.With the increasing complexity of human society,people are getting busier and busier.Each person has a lot of things to deal with every day.How to synchronizing with other people to arrange your events and life rationally and easily?Share! Online Calendar is one of the convenient way for people to synchronize,especially for business people.
Since more and more people are using the service provided by Google,google is keeping huge amount of information of the hundreds of millions people.These information are good resource for google to make statistics and analysis over the demands of the users ,the attentions of the customers etc.Where will google go to?I am not quite sure. calendar
