After my reintallation of the WinXp and the office 2007 beta,my mind manager is no more compatible with the office 2007.However,customed to the way of mind mapping life,it is terrible for me to live a life without mind mapping.

I tried the Free mind,another mind mapping software,which is a well-known mind map software also.

I will compare the two mind map tool software here:

1. Function

• Free mind is not that powerful as mind manager.As we all know,one of the most powerful feature of mind map is the colorful pictures and various of colors to make the mind map easy to read ,understand and memorize.Mind manager provide a abundant library of pictures and symbols.
• Mind manager has a better integration with MS Office which is widely used as daily office tools.
• mind manager provide daily remind as the outlook do
• mind manager has a variety of templates and mind map styles while Free mind has single mind map style with meager templates.

Easy to use

• Mind manager has a more friendly UI
• You have to pay for mind manger and reinstall the software after the reinstallation of your system.However,Free Mind is a free software and you need not reinstall the software at the same circumstances.

What functions of mind map do I need?

1. Tree mind map.Actually,Tree mind map is one of the most used mind map structure I used these days.
2. Systematic building available.

Actually,some of the IGX Graphic of the office also belong to the mind map.However,these mind maps are not seen in mind manager.

However,do I need the IGX Graphic functions of MS office?How many times do I use these functions?If the mindjet company will intergrate the IGX Graphic into mind manager,it will be great!

I think that the IGX Graphic function is great to present and express what I am thinking to others,especially in Blog.

Actually,I can also build a system based on the mind map generated by Free mind.I will just test on the software and see what I can get from the Freemind more.
